A super easy and simple recipe that takes no more than 10 minutes to make. Thick udon noodles covered in a savory, creamy sauce with a hint of sweetness. You have to try this!
Ingredients needed for this recipe:
The main ingredients of this recipe will be Gochujang, heavy cream, and udon noodles(cooked not frozen)—the rest of the ingredients include olive oil, and your choice of protein/ vegetable. As well as the toppings such as sesame seeds, parmesan cheese, and chopped green onions are all going to be optional.
Cooking tips
- Slowly saute your sweet onions on low-med until it turns translucent so that the onion can release more of their natural sweets into the sauce adding in deeper flavors
- cook all of your meats and veggies in the oil/butter of your choice before you add in gochujang and heavy cream
- slowly adjust by adding in more gochujang sauce if you are a person who likes saltier/sweeter noodles
- you can also add in cheese of your choice along with heavy cream to create an even more flavorful and thick sauce
- I highly recommend you add any protein of your choice such as sausage, shrimp, chicken, or beef!
Preparation Process
Start by cutting all of your vegetables and protein choices: In my case, I decided to use sweet onion and mushrooms just because that is what I have in my house at this moment.
in a pan, add in olive oil and saute the onions and mushrooms until they are almost fully cooked
add in gochujang and heavy cream and stir until they are all combined
add in your udon noodles and mix it in with the gochujang heavy cream sauce
top it off with any topping of your choice (sesame seeds, chopped green onions, parmesan cheese, nori, etc.)
